Brewer: De Dolle Brouwers (Diksmuide, Belgium)
Beer: Stille Nacht
Style: Belgian Strong Ale
abv: 12%
Background: Bottle at the Capital Ale House (Innsbrook) in Richmond.
Appearance: Pours dark orange with a very small head and a lot of crap floating around in the glass.
Aroma: Initially very buttery, but calming down to vanilla, malts, and sweet candi sugar.
Flavor: Very sweet, quite winey. Finish is somewhat alcoholic, but doesn't give away the 12%.
Notes: Good Belgian, if a little on the sweet side. Like a much better Delirium Nocturnum.
Rating: 4 out of 5
