Brewer: High Falls Brewing Company (New York, USA)
Beer: Genesee Cream Ale
style: Cream Ale
abv: 4.9%
Background: Bottle from Food Lion in Harrisonburg. Genny Light has been a staple of every family reunion of mine, and the Cream Ale is one of the most highly regarded crappy beers on the market.
Appearance: Pours gold with a one-finger head.
Aroma: Surprisingly, some cream and no corn in the aroma. A little bit of alcohol is present.
Flavor: Very bland, but nothing offensive. A hint of cream.
Notes: Coming from the same guys who make the Genny Light, this isn’t a half-bad attempt at an actual beer. If only Uncle Don would try it.
Rating: 2.4 out of 5
