Brewer: Dogfish Head Brewery (Delaware, USA)
Beer: Chicory Stout
Style: Stout
abv: 5.2%
Background: Bottle from Vintage Wines in Harrisonburg. This stuff is spiced with chicory in the (sometimes) grand tradition of Dogfish Head.
Appearance: Pours black with a small tan head.
Aroma: Mostly roasted malts--coffee and a little chocolate. Something strange in the background; I guess it's the chicory.
Flavor: Basic stout flavor with the unappealing sourness of a Guinness and that weird crap that might be the chicory.
Notes: Watery and bad.
Rating: 2.7 out of 5
