Brewer: Browar Zywiec (Zywiec, Poland)
Beer: Zywiec (Jasne Pelne)
Style: Crappy European Lager
abv: 5.6%
Background: Bottle from the store. The bottle has a cool “beer thermometer” that shows the beer’s logo when it is at an appropriate temperature.
Appearance: Gold with a slight amber tint—darker than I expected. Very small head and medium effervescence.
Aroma: Nutty and papery. Not too promising.
Flavor: Basic pale lager taste with a little extra malt backbone and, if you can believe it, a very slight hint of honey. Semi-dry finish.
Notes: Not good, but not the worst you can get. Probably a good CEL to buy because the amber bottle prevents skunking.
Rating: 2.2 out of 5
