Appearance: Pours red-amber with a half-finger head that recedes quickly.
Aroma: Huge piney hop aroma overpowers the underlying sweet, bready malts.
Flavor: Great malt flavor, great hop flavor, but the two don’t mix as well as they should. Very hoppy aftertaste.
Notes: Definitely an American Barley Wine. You could call it a Double IPA and not be too far from the truth.
