Brewer: Liefmans (Oudenaarde, Belgium)
Beer: Goudenband
Style: Flemish Sour Ale
abv: 8%
Background: Bottle from the store.
Appearance: Pours dark brown with a large tan head.
Aroma: Very fruity, like a Wild Cherry Capri Sun with added green apple and grapes. Also fresh bread and a hint of alcohol.
Flavor: Dark fruits, cherries, cola, wood, earth. The finish is light sour grapes and coppery blood (or bloody copper).
Notes: Not as good as the Duchesse de Bourgogne, but I like it.
Rating: 3.7 out of 5
