Pours amber-gold with a dense, two-finger head. Citrusy and piney aroma with some underlying caramel-ish malt. Flavor begins acridly bitter and sharp. After it mellows, it's an inoffensive, fairly well-balanced APA. But, like a James Joyce novel, it's hard to get past the beginning.
