Brewer: Weyerbacher Brewing Company (Pennsylvania, USA)
Beer: Blithering Idiot
Style: Barley Wine
abv: 11.1%
Background: Bottle from Vintage Wines in Harrisonburg.
Appearance: Ruby/amber with a small head that rushes to the sides of the glass. No effervescence.
Aroma: Very malty, with hints of raisin and a bit of alcohol.
Flavor: Sweet, with a dry, alcoholic finish.
Notes: Not very impressive for the style, but still decent. I have a few to age, so we'll see how this is after a year or two.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
